About me.

Tl;dr - I write articles, I build websites, and oftentimes combine the two. I've travelled all over East Asia, I am a proud cat mommy, and my favorite food is brisket.

The story

Let's get one thing clear: I am a girl. (Don't let my name mislead you.) (And if it did, blame my parents. I do.)

Great, now that we established that...

Over two years ago, while living in Bangkok, I began teaching myself how to code. Namely, build websites. Little did I know it would change my life.

Learning valuable skills like HTML and CSS gave me the opportunity to land better work, which led to better compensation and more flexibility in my day-to-day. More than that, it allowed me to freelance and work remotely. Which meant I could travel, or stay at home, and *not* go to an office. Needless to say, it became clear very early on that having digital skills was worth it.

Still, learning it all was a struggle. Where do I learn? What do I learn? I knew there were others out there, feeling the way I did. This realization eventually led me to create in late April of 2014.

Fast forward to today

Today, the site is visited by 30,000 unique people every month. (And the number keeps growing.)

Moreover, I begun building off the site. For example, my Portfolio Dojo course which will be launching in late September, 2015.

There are big plans for the future :) Stay tuned.
